Volunteers

The Devonport Jazz Festival relies on the invaluable assistance of volunteers in areas such as artist and venue liaison, driving, emceeing and much more.  The Devonport Jazz Taskforce is an integral part of Devonport Jazz and we are always on the lookout for new members.    

Artists wanting to perform at Devonport Jazz

Performers for the program are selected by the Festival’s Music Director, Viktor Zappner in association with the Event Manager.  The main criteria for selection are artistic excellence, and stylistic balance within the context of each year’s program.  The program is created between January and April each year. 

Any bands or individuals whose work is not already known to Devonport Jazz can send material for consideration to:

Include current professional photos, biographies, press quotes, articles and current recordings (ie website address).

Devonport Jazz is a small festival which is gaining a favourable reputation throughout Australia.  We receive many more requests to perform at our Festival than we can accommodate and owing to the huge number of requests it is not always possible to reply to them all, or to return material submitted.
